Role Summary

Timothy Ramsey is the founding Director of the Center for Managed Technology Services (CMTS), established in April 2021. He leads cost-recovery managed technology services that support researchers across the Texas A&M University System. CMTS provides scalable staffing support, cybersecurity, and IT service management to help research teams use technology with confidence and reduce operational risk.
In addition to leading CMTS, Tim serves as the Director of Information Technology for the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In this role, he aligns technology strategy across research, teaching, and service missions and chairs the College’s Technology Leadership Council.

Background and Experience

• More than 25 years of information technology experience across private industry and higher education
• Former Associate Director of IT for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where he led a major IT operations reorganization in 2019
• Experience managing global engineering teams and leading large-scale digital transformation efforts
• Long-standing focus on turning technology into a strategic capability that enables research outcomes
